Today Faye, Sapphy and I spent the majority of the day clearing the flat in Shoebury. It was a Herculean effort, given that it snowed and rained most of the day. So much so, in fact, that Sapphy and Faye made a snowman this morning! The flat's pretty much empty now. Just a couple of bits left to go. We had a nice (if late) lunch at Wimpy at 3:00pm as the troops were close to starving to death!
I am writing this at Faye's on my Macbook. Faye's parents are here! This is the first time I have seen them since... July last year. I was very apprehensive of being in the same room as them, but they have been civil, friendly and chatty. Its a huge relief!
I'm staying over tonight. I brought a pillow from the flat so hopefully I won't get the usual backache I always end up with from the mattress. How I slept on that night after night without any trouble is a mystery!
Faye's car is fully laden with junk for the tip. Tomorrow morning we're headed there at 10am, which is when (we hope) it opens.
Sapphy's being a pain at the moment. I think she's a bit over tired!
